Social Media ✍️
Social Media, the most successful product of the Internet. It is also known for making the world turn into a global village where every person is just one click away. Now, we don’t have to wait for our postal letters to arrive to see what our cousin staying in the USA is doing. Today, we see that on Instagram or Snapchat. The World is now that close but with so many positives, there are negatives of social media too.
We all remember the famous dialogue from the Spiderman movie which quotes “With great power comes great responsibility”, that is a similar case with social media. We all need to understand there is always a thin line between what we can do and what we cannot do.
There are many pros of social media and it has equal cons too. Social media bring stress, bullying and it also invites some unneeded stalkers too. There are all types of people present online. Some of them belittle you, some likes criticizing you, others only see the negative things in a post or caption, and sometimes if there is nothing wrong in it then also they would try to troll you anyway. These people say all kinds of worthless rubbish stuff and defend themselves by calling it their point of view.
What we all need to understand is there is a difference between having a point of view and cyberbullying someone. Cyberbullying or harassing someone online is also a crime in Indian Law. A person’s public account is also his/her own property and they can complain about it to the acting bodies.
Apart from this, bullying or criticizing someone on social media is also leaves scars on the victim’s personality. Studies and old cases have shown so many of such examples that due to criticism victims have taken many bad steps.
The data states that 1 out of 5 suicides is because of social media and the people who are bullied are at increased risk for depression, anxiety, sleep difficulties, and lower academic achievement too.
At last, I would end this blog by saying: We all should just be a little bit more human and stop criticizing someone when it’s not needed as we do not know what the other person is going through.
🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 nice

DeleteThe unpopular opinion.
ReplyDeleteIf you use Social media people will judge you based of what they see of you online, they may reach a conclusion that you may not like that doesn't mean you should take it personally.
If you feel bad by what other people say about you online then logout.
And you can't control what other people say, nither you should try.
Ashwani. We ate not on social media to spread hate or negativity. Social media is meant to connect with others and spread positivity and share part of our lives.
DeleteThere is a difference point of view, judging people, criticising and bullying someone.
Please don’t be so heartless towards others.
Saying this again don’t criticise someone when it’s not needy.
